I think it looks Fine man, If you are looking for a brown style I would sugest the Marine Corps Section of the Closest PX they wear a tan belt the same style for the Marine Martial Arts training system they have. I always took the Shoulder strap off a "C" bag and walked it over the the parachute riggers (stich B!@#)
and asked them to make a belt for me. the belts they made worked great.
I used them for years each and if I had rings or anything they could add it to the rig for me. I once had a Real nice climbing belt made.

    Just a sugestion..
If you go with the "C" bag thing try to find an old style bag the newer ones the retaining system blows.

Follow up for you that responded. I wore the UK Survival Kilt and instructors belt to our Highland Foundation picnic this weekend. I knew I would be outside sweating all day, getting dirty, and near food so I left the tank at home. The survival was very comfortable. The belt looked great, if not very appropriate for the kilt. Interestingly, I got more "I like it" comments on the shirt than the kilt or the belt. The shirt is from a local sod farm that a friend owns. The back has a cartoon of a roll of sod and "We Roll Quality Grass" on it.

Take a look at the first page at http://docwalker.smugmug.com/ and you can see it.
