Crack me up! Reminded of the old cartoon that would have a group of rabbits on the other side of the road in the park and when your bunny made it they'd shout, "All Right! Billy's in the club! He beat the cars, he beat the trucks, he beat the limos, and he even had a cheerleader!!"
Talk to me about Bubba Gump's restaurant...I'm guessing they serve shrimp...apricot shrimp? I have the Bubba Gump cookbook....and I love shrimp.
Where is this place you call "Chicago?"

Ron,
Bubba Gump's is a shrimp/seafood restaurant based on the movie Forest Gump. Not sure if it is a chain or not, and I have not eaten there yet myself. However, it was packed on Saturday at arount7:45, so was at least a popular dining destination regardless of the food quality!
As for where Chicago is, its a little place on a small lake, just go north from Page until you hit Salt Lake City, turn right, and straight on till you hit a large body of water and you'll be there!

They have a Bubba Gump at pier 39 in San Francisco. I ate there when I was down there for a weekend smithing class a couple months ago. Good shrimp, fun atmosphere and to get the waiters attention you flip the license plate on the table from RUN FOREST RUN to STOP FOREST STOP.

Good for you, KCW! It's tough for the small furry animals to survive in "civilization", so it's great to see you lend a hand.
As you pointed out, Bubba Gump's is sort of a theme restaurant based on the movie Forrest Gump. The movie plays constantly, shrimp is the main thing on the menu, and it's a lot of fun. We've eaten at the one in Honolulu (Ala Moana Centre) and in Times Square. Both were packed! They seem to be expanding slowly. Good is on tap!
