the SWK's I am wondering about are the 4 yard wool kilts on ebay. Jerry has a Black Stewart listed but it has a 34" waist. I finally dropped down to a 36"...maybe if I sucked it up for the rest of my life...nah.

    MacG,
Go to his web store and you can get whatever size you need at pretty much the same price as on ebay. I think he uses ebay to enlarge his market (which sounds kind of kinky when I review it in writing!).

However, I am currentrly at 41" ro 41.5" and ordered the standard Nightstalker and in a 40" and it fit fine. I am not even all the way out on the right side buckles.

He had a 36" a while back .... I bought it last fall :-) It is a very nice summer kilt.

I have (so far) resisted the temptation to bid on
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1, which appears to be the equivalent in Black Watch.

    Hey all,

I already have one of Jerry's Blackwatch acrylic kilts. The wool Black Stewart is made from material woven in Ireland. His site says this is a one off item. Things are changing so FAST at SWK that I may need to just wait and see for a couple of months. Christmas IS coming...so Ephany (sp)...and my birthday...

    100+meters...

I finally got a reply to my question about the 100+ meters on ebay.....at LEAST 97 pounds!

only $2/meter added but it still ups the ante.

I do not understand E-Bay, nor have I been able to register with them (in case I ever wanted to buy anything!). Every time I tried to register I was rejected!!!!

However, it does concern me that legitimate retailers (of quality goods) find it necessary, or indeed are able, to sell through this medium. I always thought it was for the use of private individuals. It seems wrong that those with established retailing outlets - on the street or on-line - should be able to use this, the on-line equivalent of newspaper Small Ads.

I know you are a commited AOL user Hamish!

But whether this is affecting your ability to register, I don't know, however, registering with ebay probably requires your browser to be able to handle 128 bit encryption in order to ensure your personal information can be transferred securely.

I suggest you try using Internet Explorer (V6 at least) as this will certainly be able to do the job.

I have bought an argyll jacket amongst other things from ebay. There are bargains to be had out there!
