Care of a USA Kilt
While at Celtic Classic, I puchased a USAKilt, I am wondering what the proper care of it is. Do you guys wash these every time you wear it?

Me Too!
Just ordered my first USAK, still about 6 weeks out, but will need to know care for it too. This board is full of USAK guys so expect some good info will come along soon.
Can tell you that for my other kilts it depends upon the usage. If I'm wearing a UK, FK, PK, AK kilt to work I'll wash it each time, but only to get the wrinkles out since I sit for a living.
If I'm wearing one of the above on weekends for knock around stuff I'll wear it two or three times before washing it...unless I get it dirty, then wash it to keep stuff from setting in the fabric.
Info on washing the cotton and cotton blend kilts probably doesn't help much.

Wash a USA kilt in cold on gentle cycle, hang dry. That's all there is to it. I wash mine ever 2nd or 4rd wearing, depending on what I'm doing.

Hey, I just realized, you're right across the river from me! You'll love the USAKilt. Since we're so close, I can now be on the look-out for another USAKilt wearer.

Hey Guys...
To give a quick recap...
Machine wash cold with like colors.
Match up the velcro BEFORE you put it in the wash (helps to keep the velcro from catching on other items in wash)
NO FABRIC SOFTENER
Do NOT dry clean
Hang dry
Our casuals are meant to be LOW MAINTENANCE / cost effective and get you out and wearing the kilt more than 2 times a year!

Sounds like a plan for the future. I can drag along my future son-in-law and his friend for a Harrisburg Area Kilt night.
