Did you leave the shop at all?!? It was 22 C here in Port Moody, and that's only a 25 minute drive. Just another reason to get out of the city

    post Rita heat wave

Rita skirted east of me, so we got the back draught of dry air and dust from the west.. Sunday was 104F (40C) and yesterday was 101F (38C).... which is supposed to be August, not September, weather. Right now, you can still cook on the sidewalk, so as they say, "only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun."

But we have a cold front coming thru on Thursday and it should drop to the 80'sF (26ish C) and actually be in the 60'sF (~19C) at night !!! PARADISE! I can't wait for a cool night!

Now if only it would rain.

This morning's commute, cloudy, drizzly, and foggy, until I got to Seattle, when it cleared up. The rest of the day, mid-upper 60s and sunny.

It's 46 degrees now with cloudy skies and is forecast to be only in the mid 50's and windy (when isn't it in ND) they're saying mid thirties tonight. Although I'd love to be kilted today but I won't be, got go to work.

Rita didn't even drop rain here in the Dallas area. We got some of her wind coming from the north, but that was it. Boy, do we need some rain.

The cold front is supposed to come through here tonight. Relief is in sight! I can't wait for a real fall, & in Texas, we always have to wait.
