Well I have to agree that I think the Dark Island B-on-B is a sharper looking tartan. However, I ordered the SW Black HW yesterday, so I will se what I think when it arrives. I think that the SW is more checkerboard like. Not sure if that is good or bad.

For me, the design is too symmetrical. Checkerboards are for checkers, chess, puppy chow and genetics...and not kilts (in my opinion).

I'm not real keen on the checkerboard (or draughtboard, as we call it) design either.

Still, it's great to have a choice of three interesting dark tartans.
