Looks like somebody got a little jealous of your young-James-Brolin good looks. Both Barbara and your girlfriend/wife are lucky women...

By the way, I teach third grade --and that sort of thing looks really familiar! Good job handling it like a middle school student. (Yes, a compliment.)

Well, you're ready to audition for Firefly if they ever bring it back on the air. Serenity (the movie) opens this weekend in the US!

...and that "High" Protector thing...how are we defining "High"?

I LOVED that series. I could definitely see myself as a member of their crew. ...not the gun-nut though, he's too stereotypically thick-headed and "one-note" oriented.

Firefly needs you, for sure. That would be awesome.

    Back on topic..
I think your response was awesome. Thanks for sharing that with us. And, in line with your response... besides comfort, I think the reactions from beautiful women is probably one of the biggest reasons I wear a kilt. Wherever we go in a kilt, we attract attention from the ladies! It's fantastic.

I spend my entire work day having to work INSIDE a box of roles, ideas, perceptions and stereotypes . I wear a uniform and in my interactions, I have found that if I deviate even slightly from the expectations of others, I get flak for it from someone. When I'm off-duty, I like to be myself and being kilted is the best way for me to live OUTSIDE the box.

Back off topic.. I missed the Firefly series, but I heard good things about it. I have also heard a lot of good things about Serenity. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Since it opens today... if anyone has seen it, will I be lost, not having seen Firefly? Is it the same characters and story or just similar?

Thanks. Fortunately, my wife thinks so too (I'm a lucky man) ... and yes, for the most part, off-roaders and gun-nuts are just little boys with big toys; there's a lot of gutter humor over there. ;)

Come to think of it, according to my wife, my mother, my sister, ... every woman I've ever known.... all men are just little boys in grown-up bodies.

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys!!
