    Bringing Kilts to Country

I attended the In The Street Festival here in Frederick today and got my picture taken with the lovely ladies of Cowboy Crush while wearing my Desert Camo kilt from Pittsburgh Kilts.

Renae, the one in green, is an incredible fiddle player. She tore up "Devil Went Down to Georgia".

I've found that hot chicks listen to country music. ;)

I went to a live bluegrass show last week (going again this week; it was most excellent) and spent all evening talking with a lot of good-looking women. They all loved the kilt.

P.S. I love "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." We have it in our jukebox at work, and I sing along every time it plays (roughly once a day). The rest of the staff roll their eyes, but it doesn't stop me from singing along. If I have to interact with customers when the song's playing, I just sing it afterwards. "Chicken's in the breadpan pickin' out the dough. Granny does your dog bite, no child, no."

If you can find it, an Irish band called the Levellers did a good cover of it.

Ska/rock band Johnny Socko did a cover of "Devil Went Down To Georgia" which is avaiable on their live CD... but with an electric guitar vs. a saxophone. Interesting version, that's for sure!
