Congratulations Alan, you did a fine job, and you have discovered first hand what has to be done in order to build a kilt and improve on the next one. You're on the right track... good on ya.
Much success on your next projects.
Cheers

Alan,
Congratulations. I would be proud to wear that kilt, and can see the day when an AlanKilt will have to feature in my Kilt Kollection!
The tartan one I began about four years ago is still lying unfinished and sandwiched between two huge sheets of hardboard with the pleats all pinned and basted! I am just not mathematician nor engineer enough to get any further with it. Besides, I miscalculated the length of fabric I needed and ran out with three pleats and the under-apron still to do!!
Again: well done!

Whoa....you're right. I reversed the pic... How'd I do that? Gonna go fix that right now.
'course then it won't look reversed in your post any more, and THAT will confuse all sorts of people...*grin*

Looks good, Alan. Have you had much sewing experience before this?
