    removable apron? anybody remember....

sorry if this is in the wrong forum...
But I was wondering if anybody remembers a contemporary kilt maker who made kilts with, what I thought, were "interchangable" aprons?
I seem to remember a kilt that was camo and black, and you could swap out the apron depending on which one was more appropriate for where ever you were planning on wearing the kilt.
Does any of this sound vaugely familiar at all?

The company you are thinking is Jarls of Lochlann which makes a product called the Kaber Kilt http://www.thejarlsoflochlann.com/Kilts/orsman.html . The Orsman has a removeable apron, so you can mix and match, but i con't think they actually sell a different apron than the kilt. No one hear has ever fessed up to owning one, though I have considered it based on the price.

I had a look at their Monster. Ugh! Look at how it bulges at the point where the pleats release: http://www.thejarlsoflochlann.com/Kilts/monster.html .

    That's just awful.

I have one, and I think I've spoken of it here, but I don't remember how to find particular threads. Regardless of what their website states, the apron is not removable. It also needs ironing to keep the pleats sharp after washing since they aren't stitched down like a UK. It is however, one of my favorite kilts.

The www.thewretchedwench.com/ website was a mirror site for "The Jarls" when I bought my Orsman. They have removed, or discontinued some of their models which may be why it doesn't look familiar. I just went to the "Jarls" site and it looks like they did a very poor remodel of their site. The "Wench" mirror is no longer functional.

    removable apron

    hrmmmmm......

ok...but the old site...do you remember any of the pics on it?
I specifically remember a black kilt, with camo inner pleats (like a PK) and the apron was either black or camo.....i think you could reverse it.
    Does that sound familiar?
