Anyone have pics of original style of UK (pre-apron)?
I'm looking for a decent pic of the first style of Utilikilts to use in my speech at school Tues. I understand they were very different fron the neo-trad style they offer now.

Iolaus,
I don't know if they are clear enough for your purpose but there are several photos of my four 'Standard' style Utilikilts in my Photo Album (link below). The best photos are probably those on page 4. Unfortunately, because they were the earlier models, my photos were taken with a pretty basic digital camera. If they are of any use at all, just copy them from the album. I have some others on CD and will have a look for you on Saturday morning. May I E-mail some to you?

Ahh, I see them now; I passed right over them. I though they'd look much different based on the rough drawing I saw somewhere.
Yes Ham, if you've got something clearer, feel free to email them to me.

Thanks

By the way, I like the '69 pic.

Okay, which one is the '69 pic? I refer to Hamish albums as my fashion reference, but I have no clue what this refers to. Is there a 1969 UK photo?

No, it's a picture of him dancing in highland garb at Albert Hall, back in 1969; it looks like a newpaper picture.

Iolaus,
I have just sent you nine photos of the 'Standard' Utilikilts within my Kollection, spread over three e-mail attachments. These are much better quality images than the originals in my Photo Album and I hope you will find something amongst them that will suit your purpose on Tuesday.
By the way, there are a number of not-too-bad images of my 'Tan Khaki' 'Standard' Utilikilt, taken on location in NYC, Washington DC and Seattle, in the sub-album in my Photo Album - click on the first image on page 1 to open it up!
The "69" image was indeed a press photo and is, regrettably, the only action-shot I have from my dancing years!!

Ham, that handsome devil (Bob Pettingell) in your 30 June pic could nearly pass for my father (albeit a little taller and with shorter hair)...by the way, great album!
