Kilt Making Kit?

I beleive that if you get 1000 Scotweb Points you are allowed to pillage an English Tourbus.

At the 10,000 Scotweb Points level you get to Pillage an entire English town.

I really like the idea of a "Kilt Kit" but at those prices, uh...no thank you.

Seriously if the "Kit" isn't under $150 USD which is the price of the Stillwater Heavyweight, I would rather buy than sew.

I would like a kilt in camoflage but the guys who sell them do it with the pattern sideways and it looks bad. If I am to get it the right way, I will have to do it myself cutting the material and sewing each block togather so that the pattern is the right way then hideing the seams in the pleats.

If you look at Bear's website, he is working on something similar. He has a link called, "make a Bear Kilt", but when you click on it it says:

"For those of you interested in making your own kilt, I've decided to help you get started with instructions on making the easiest kilt to make, a Bear Kilt.

I'll post the full instructions as soon as I've finished writing them, adding pics, etc.
I'm also considering selling Bear Kilt-making kits, including your choice of tartan, a pleating pattern for that tartan,Velcro, etc. Any input would be appreciated."


This seems to be a great way to get into kilt making, and I may try it when Bear gets everything finished.
