Anyway, this has happened in antoher thread, and quite frankly, I am sick and tired of people bringing up etymologies of archaic words that are both harrassing and harmful to me and others.
I will not be coming back to this board.
Good grief! I suppose there is no accounting for individual reactions, but to leave the community over an imagined slight seems a little over reactive.
Shay's link was interesting, informative, and matter of fact. To be offended at a matter of fact is not reasonable. Further, I do not see any possible way that the posting of such a link can be construed to be "harassing and harmful". But sometimes people flee where no one is persuing.
