Thanks David, I fancy it's not as heavy and maybe not as solid as your jacket, but more that fine for my purposes and climate.
Also, I'm feeling bad about not getting that video to you, I plan to make it tonight and include something a wee bit extra.

Aye it looks sharp on you Graham. I'd like to get an Argyll someday. Trouble is I'll have to fight off the urge to buy another kilt in the meantime

Well I waited a couple of years until the need was there, a dozen or so kilts came first.
I think I have Hamish-itus, a rare disease that compels a lad to buy more and more kilts, regardless of what the wife, kids and family friends may say.
I think I caught the disease in London, last July, about the time I was having lunch with hamish.
Like many drugs, it leaves the sufferer with a short lived feeling of elation when trying on the newest kilt. However, this feeling soon subsides and when a new tartan is discovered on the internet the craving returns, stronger than ever.
The only advice I can give to my sons is to never ever let a kilt come even close to their bodies, so they don't become like their father.
Sadly, and typically, sons don't listen to the wisdom of their fathers, they go and make their own mistakes.
Two of my three sons have worn a kilt from time to time. They are young, there is time yet to avoid this disease.
(Hamish, only kidding, you're an inspiration!)

Graham,
The jacket and waistcoat look great, nice kilt too! I considered buying both of those as well, but finally after some thought, I ended up with the black argyle jacket.
I just know one day I will end up buying this jacket and waistcoat, it looks great. I know, it's part of the disease, but I have to get another kilt first.

Jim, I know folks here have varying opinions on waistcoats, but having one now I think I really like them.
It kinda broadens the use of the jacket. In fact a fellow kiltwearer came to my office today to view the jacket and said he liked the option of waistcoat and kilt even without the jacket. I agree.
It's a bit like two coats for the price of one.
the fact that scottishkilts.net offered the two as a package made me go for the deal.
