    Graham,

The jacket and waistcoat look great, nice kilt too! I considered buying both of those as well, but finally after some thought, I ended up with the black argyle jacket.

I just know one day I will end up buying this jacket and waistcoat, it looks great. I know, it's part of the disease, but I have to get another kilt first.

Jim, I know folks here have varying opinions on waistcoats, but having one now I think I really like them.
It kinda broadens the use of the jacket. In fact a fellow kiltwearer came to my office today to view the jacket and said he liked the option of waistcoat and kilt even without the jacket. I agree.

It's a bit like two coats for the price of one.
the fact that scottishkilts.net offered the two as a package made me go for the deal.

Graham, that ensemble looks really good on you.

I think you should go with some silver on the sporran, rather than fur. With the plain charcoal and plain buttons, I think it will bring a sparkle to the outfit, especially since you're not wearing a belt.

thanks Andrew, I agree with you and I'm looking for a sporran to give that sparkle, maybe with fur too, but not seal - I like seals. Maybe rabbit, I hate rabbits (this is australia remember!!)

If anyone knows of a good deal with such a sporran, now is the time to speak up!!

Very sharp Graham! Dressier than you would be in a similar suit WITH a tie, and with the kilt, you just look even better! I may have to think about one of these for the office Holiday party this year. People generally dress up a bit for it, and this would be the perfect look, and let me stand out from the rest of the suits!

You new Jacket and Waist Coat look good on you. A silver tie would look very good with your new jacket and waist coat.

Looking sharp Graham. I take it those are the charcaol hose from scottishkilts.net? They have been sitting on my wish list for some time now, and will definitely be included in the next order.

I went with the silver buttons for the jacket and waistcoat. Of course the bone buttons are on their way, so I can dress the jacket and waistcoat up or down as I please. I agree completely with Raphael about the silver tie, it goes well with the silver in my beard.
