Another fine compliment while kilted to class...
So, there's a girl in my English class that has commented on the kilt before, and she wasn't in class today. I walk out on my way to my car and hear my name called out. I turn and look, and it's the same girl. So I stop to see what she needs.
The first words out of her mouth were "Hey, [chuckle] you're so cool! You wear those things [nods to the kilt] with such- with so much pride! Anyway, what did I miss in class?"
Talk about a self-esteem booster there!

Chasem,
Noticed you are in Owensboro, I was wondering where you go to college, I went to KWC many years ago. My daughter is a KWC graduate and my niece is a freshman there.

Well Jim, it certainly is a small world. I spent 3 semesters at Western Kentucky University, and then took a break. I am currently attending Owensboro Community College, though, at least for this year.
A good friend of mine, my girlfriend's younger brother, attends KWC though.

Jim,
Maybe the lass is your niece {he says with a chuckle}
Good job Chasem, keep up that kilted pride!

Of course, around here, using "pride" that way may have meant gay dignity. No prob, just so's you're aware.

My neice is a tiny little red haired lassie. She has a boy friend at KWC, who knows, like Chasem says it's a small world.

My son is in his second year at college, & the worst reactions he's received were just ones of confusion. Most people are very positive about it.
