    Kilted afternoon in beautiful Savannah

My brother and my cousin came to visit from Miami this weekend, so, like a good host, I took them around my beautiful city. I tried a new more modern approach to the kilt outfit. Opinion? Suggestions besides the need for a brown sporran? hehe. Anyway, the pic is my cousin and me rocking USAK Scottish National.

Well let me begin by saying that Savannah is one of my favorite cities in the US because of its beauty.

This is only a personal thing with me and it really doesn't make any difference how you wear your kilt, I think it looks better while wearing socks, but again that is my personal choice, so take it for what it is worth. I do agree with you about the sporran, but the one you have is OK, and I do like it too. T-shirt tucked in or out, I still debate with myself on that, at this moment in time I tuck it in, so I can show off my belt and buckle.

All in all I like the whole casual setting and the comfort that you are showing.

I like both the look with socks and without. For the current weather though I prefer not to wear the hose, and the shirt, it depends on the setting or activities Im doing. Regardless, in the end Im always kilted.

    Iņaki,

Looks good, but I still can't see a kilt in that picture with the good looking girl in it

Your shirt looks fine un-tucked, as it is no too long and breaks at the top of the kilt. I also prefer socks and boots rather than no socks, but I can understand that desire based on humid weather. The only thing missing is one of these bad boys

It depends on whether you want to dress like every body else or to become an individual. If you can back it up, there is no wrong answer in life.

As my Scottish kilt wearing friends say "wear your kilt with whatever
you like, wear what ever you would with a pair trousers"

Looks great! I also would have worn hose, but then again I wasn't there for the heat and humidity!!! I also like the look of the t-shirt being out.

What is the monument behind you? My wife and I are considering a trip there next year.

What was your cousin's take on your kilted tour?

You know what? To be honest, I cant really tell. There are so many of these squares all over the downtown area, and they all have some sort of statue or fountain. Really beautiful city to visit. Playing tourist was something new to me, but since I had to play host I got see many things I didnt know about Savannah.
Well, she is from Miami, so the whole kilt thing is very rare to her. She didnt even know what a kilt was!!!!! Nothing weird anymore.

That's the way it works a lot of times. A person doesn't see the sights of the city where he's living until someone from out of town visits and wants to see these sights.
