While I see how helpful this could be, I had planned on storing our youngest's kilt for grandchildren. I wouldn't mind lending it out to someone local, I guess.
Also, a boy's kilt isn't such a difficult investment. Since children tend to grow tall faster than they do wide, hems are allowed in their kilts. And with the straps & buckles, there is quite a bit of growth room for the waist. So you get to amoritize the cost over several years.
We obtained Jared's kilt from Scotland via a private seller in Scotland (Ebay). It even came with a wee Argyll jacket, which, alas, doesn't have the same kind of growth allowance to it.

We've also noted here that most good kilts on ebay tend to be youth sizes. Order now in anticipation. How many 26" waists are there out there after 30?

30??!!! How about after 12-13? I think I was a trim 32" by the time I hit 14 yrs. old.
I do think a general "For Sale" forum is a good thing in order to pass on sizes that we've grown or dieted out of, but we already have that. Maybe try out a sub-forum for kid's sizes?
