Nope, no belt loops but it does have two loops at the waistband specifically for hanging the kilt. They're tucked inside while it's worn.

I'm in! Cameron 22oz. on the way

    Howdy.

Decided to take the plunge today, called Jerry and asked him if he had a Cameron Highlanders in my size----he did, a deal was struck, and now I'm just settin' here waitin' on the day.

As far as it being made in Pakistan . . . hmm, small mountainous country full of bloodthirsty bandits, highwaymen and cattle thieves, with a government that supports current US foriegn policy against the wishes of the majority of the populace. Are we talking about Pakistan, or Scotland? (This paragraph typed with tongue firmly in cheek, btw.)

Hey, how come we call it "Jonesing" when we're waiting for a kilt? Shouldn't that be when we're waiting for a cilt?

I don't know... is there a Scots version of the name Jones?

"Boy, am I Angusing for my new kilt."

    No, doesn't work as well...

    Nothing synchronizes like synchronicity

Well shazam and fuddlebegum! Yesterday I ordered the Cameron tank from WPG. I have been reading and savoring Fitzroy Maclean's "Eastern Approaches" for the last week or so, forcing myself to go slowly. ("Eastern Approaches" was apparently what lit the fire for Central Asia in Peter Hopkirk, and Hopkirk is apparently who lit the fire for Central Asia in me.)

I have read, now, to the point where the Second World War has broken out, and Maclean has resigned from the Foriegn Office and enlisted . . .

    IN THE CAMERON HIGHLANDERS!

I bought two 22 oz. militery kilts from a friend last week. This morning I wore one outside for the first time, the temp was around 38 and the windchill was in the upper 20s. All I can say is WOW these things are warm. The wind blowing the kilt up was not an issue and all I felt was the occasional cool draft.

My Black Watch is only an 18oz...but I wore jeans to a football game tonight and just about froze. Just a few mins ago I walked outside to have a smoke...kilted...and was much warmer, even without a jacket. My only problem now is wondering if it will be too warm when summer gets here and temps go up above the 80's and into the 100's...

I tried a 16 oz PV in the middle of summer, and decided it was too hot, and it was in the high 80s/low 90s at the time. That's just me though. A lot of guys wear their 16 oz kilts all year long; I imagine the 18 oz isn't much heavier.
