It may be time for Terry to sit down and design a page on his site that presents the facts on BearKilts' MPP (Miles Per Pleat).

Testimonials from hikers on the comfort and durability of his kilt construction would be a thing of beauty. Many would imagine that a UtiliKilt would be great for the hikes, but Bear's sewing techniques and the designs are condusive to long-term comfort. I know that I would prefer comfort over function on such a venture!

Good luck on the future treks buddy! I look forward to the future "blogs" or journal entries.

If Utilikilts made a non-cotton kilt they might be in the running. But I don't like the feel of the UK narrow underapron between my legs as I walk.

I'll be sure to post my journal as I go along, and try to drop in here from time to time to check in.

...Just another six months to go. The countdown is on!

I have offered to swap Andrew a new kilt for his old one for all the advertising he's given Bear Kilts.
He refuses to swap until he's walked all 8000 miles.
That kilt will hang in on a plaque on the wall like a rare signed hockey sweater in a sports bar. The inscription will read:
The 8000 Mile Kilt, followed by some details about where it's been with Andrew.

I really cannot wait for Andrew to do the CDT, so I can share a sip or two with him! So when Andrew completes the triple crown of trails kilted I can say I had a drink with him. 8000MPK.

Glen, I'm going to hold you to that. Seriously, if anyone's along any of my routes, I'd love to drop in. I know that at the end of the PCT I'm going to end up in Vancouver, so I'll get to show Bear the 5,000 mile (at that point) kilt in person. And maybe take a shower.
