    Perthshire Amber

Sounds like a nice sipping ale doesn't it?

It is, in fact, a wonderful blend of celtic and classical musicians put together by Dougie Maclean in a four movement work on the album of the same name.
Really beautiful stuff, in the manner that Dougie fans have come to know and love, and quite evocative of the rolling hills and scattered light of Perthshire.

If you don't have this one yet, don't wait. Get it now!

Not sure if it's still going on, but Dougie's website was running a special on direct order CDs. Even with international postage, I still made out better than Amazon or the local big box stores.

    Cheers

Dougie's one of my favorites. He comes to the Pacific NW every other year or so and my wife and I always enjoy seeing him live. My youngest daughter (now 20) has enjoyed his music since a toddler and even has an autographed copy of Indigenous. I highly recommend seeing him in person - the stories behind his songs are great. We hope to see him in Scotland this spring on our vacation.

Don't know this artist but I like this part. As long as the artist is reasonable, I prefer to buy direct. They need the moo and this way I know they get it.
