    I Didn't Think Ahead

Dang!...I loved my drinking, but I sure do miss my brain cells now. :-?

Ordered up my first USA Kilt, Thompson Gray Semi-Traditional. It arrived looking great. Put it on...knew I'd be wearing it a lot higher than all my other kilts....FORGOT to order a belt big enough to encircle my girth at that level. Yup, the straps should hold it, but they're set so the tightest fit with the straps sorta holds the kilt up...wouldn't want to risk any sudden moves.

One of the problems with the long kilt jones can be weight loss.

Anyhow, ordered up a longer belt. Now gotta jones until the belt comes in so I can wear the kilt.

So, message is, don't be as forgetful as I was...probably an unnecessary warning, don't think too many of the folks on this board are as old and slow as I am. ;-)

    Ron,

I have been waiting to see what a kilt in this tartan looks like. Please post a picture, with or without a belt. :-)

I have a flat-black "parkerized" finish kilt belt buckle I am going to put on a black army web belt. I'll try to remember to post a picture when it's done.

I have a whole set of kilt accessories in this flat-black finish- kilt pin, buckle, sporran chain etc.

I'm not a big fan of the chrome look, though it certainly has its place.

I love my chromed belt buckle with my PC outfit, but it just seems like too much with anything less dressy.

    Ron,

Thank you for posting pictures of your new Thomson Gray kilt so quickly. It looks good. I like the color coordinated sweatshirt idea for casual fall wear.
