As I said, it's okay for the first try. It feels light though. For example, the full eight yards with canvas and buckles feels about the same weight (total kilt weight, not oz/yd) as my stillwater standard, give or take a few ounces.
If I understand right, stillwater standards are 6-ish yards? (I just checked Stillwaters site. They state that they are 6-8 yards. I'll measure in a minute).
But, I'll be making a 6-yard kilt out of 13oz material from Lochcarron. I'm sure it'll be better of course, but I'll compare the two afterwards.

Hi guys
Had to trek down to Washington for a meeting yesterday. I haven't forgotten about my promise to post a pic! I'll get Dave to take a pic tonight and post it some time tomorrow.
