I just got their catalog, too. Don't know why. Lots of neat stuff, none of which I need.

Their clothing items are generally of pretty average quality. Not bad if you are only going to wear them at a few rennaisance fairs, but not for any more wear than that. I've got a couple of shirts from them that I've had for several years that I use for costumes.
Definitely in agreement with you there. The clothes are costume quality, and show it, but hey, you're getting what you paid for.

...but lots of stuff you want, right? Their sister company Atlantic Cutlery also has lots of stuff that's totally impractical, but still very cool looking wall hangers.

The weaponry in Museum Replicas is getting a bit better. They aren'y Angus Trim swords by any stretch, but they're better than a lot of the Chinese crap on the market.

As for the clothes, well, I go get fabric and make it myself. I love getting the catalogue, it's fun to look through and sometimes they have good stuff, there are a couple swords I'd like.

If you want reviews of Museum Replicas and/or their products, try searching at www.armourarchive.com or www.swordforum.com.

I just got their catalog also. I was neat to page through but nothing that I would buy. The Practikilt is a joke. There is a bit of misinformation about the history of kilts too, a little annoying but I suppose if you are relying on a catalog as your source of historical information you wouldn't know any better.

Since I don't plan on getting into any swordfights, their quality is fine for me. I just got a cutlass from them this summer.

After seeing everyone's replies to my original post saying that you guys got the same catalog, I'm starting to wonder if they were somehow able to find addresses for members of this forum. I don't think Hank or anyone else sent it to them because Number one, I'm sure Hank wouldn't do something like that and Number two, I'm pretty sure my mailing address wasn't something I gave when I joined the forum. But, there must be some other way we are all linked.Anyone else order things through Sportsman's Guide? I found that site through this forum. I also got a catalog from, Bud K.

Not to worry Jerry, I did not get a catalog.

Addresses are not apart of the info keep by this xmarks.
I received their catalog too but I feel sure it is due to one of my other magazine subscriptions. I too get Sportsman's Guide alone with about
    50 other catalogs.

I do not get the sportsman's guide.

Yesterday, I got the Albarene Royal Mail catalog, that some of you have mentioned. I also got a copy of The Scottish Banner, which contained a notation that the sample was being sent to former customers of The Scottish Lion.

Maybe they sold the mailing list.

I hope I didn't give the impression that I thought Hank or this forum was giving our addresses, because that's not what I meant at all, and, I'm pretty sure I never gave my address when I joined the forum anyhow. However, I have purchased things from internet companies (such as "Sportsman's Guide" which were reccomended by someone on the forum (maybe a former member now), and I was curious if this might be the connection.
