I agree that they didn’t do much to improve the “Ugly Americans” stigma.. Although I must say they all looked great kilted!

I too love the Solitire kilt!

It was cool to here Mikey say that he has wanted a kilt for a long time now!!!

Sr. started body building about the same time he got clean and sober.. Body building is part of his clean living life style.. I just read about his work out in the Old School Workout body building magazine.. He is very serious about his work outs!!

You might go to the OCC web site and read all their Bio’s..

Just saw a re-run of the show and it was kilts galore! I thought they did a great service for all of US kilt wearers. You have to remember that they probably shot over 200 hours of film, and only 10 min or so is used in the end. Now it would be pretty boring to show the OCC crew being polite and respectful at all times as the premise of the show is the underlying tension between father and sons.

I especially like when Paul Jr was asked to step up and play a little sword fight game with a real Scotsman ... boy was Jr. intimidated!!!

Also impressed by the number of compliments that Paul Sr and Jr were making in the voice-overs about how great Scotland was, and how wonderful the people were, etc...

I think that they did a great job all in all. They also were all wearing the kilt in various casual styles, just like us here at X-Marks, and did not try to play 'dress up' and act like a Brigadoon buffoon. I give them two thumbs up for that alone!!!!
