OK, I have to say that I am jealous of all the So Cal kilted! And the Denver and PA contingents as well. Wish we could get more than 4 (at least based on Xmarks members I know) in the Chicago area. Would love to have a kilt night soon.

Hey don't give up hope. Look at this thread to see what it was like out here back in April; I thought I was all alone. I knew Yaish was around from meeting him at the UK sales booths in the area, but at first, I assumed he was probably just a UK-group member.

Now there's at least 4 of us, and I just met the other UK wearer at my college yesterday - told him about us, maybe he'll show up.

So don't give up hope. Like GMan said:

One guy in a kilt may turn to two guys in a kilt then four. Talk to the bar owners about giving drinks free (first one anyway) or at least half off to any guy wearing a kilt on any specific night! Stranger things have happened.

If you can get two people to be regulars somewhere, that's a beginning.

I suspect Yaish and I are remembered in the same breath at Gallagher's, even though we've never been there at the same time. If we do show up at the same time, and if I start wearing my Black Stewart Stillwater instead of my UKs, they'll really start noticing us!

Seriously, I know that we are part of a growing number of people. Just need to get the word out. The idea of free/discounted drinks is a good one. Have to look into it.

Its not set in stone, but its very very likely we will be going to Gallaghers tonight.

Wake is playing, so we'll probably get there early enough to eat dinner there then listen to the band. I'd say we'll be there around 8:30, and probably stay til at least 11:00 or so.

We'll be having dinner with a friend tonight - an "I'd like you to meet my next fiancee" thing. I hope it works out this time, for his sake.

This guy tends toward early evenings, so we might make it, but I can't guarentee anything.

For anyone up north, (SP?) there's a show in Pasadena tonight that I wish I could get to, but won't, unfortunately. According to a postcard schedule from Sept., Tempest is playing with Wicked Tinkers at the Scottish Rite Center tonight at 8pm.
