Spell check for online use. Go to the Google home page and from there you can add the Google toolbar to your internet explorer. The toolbar has a spell check that works on blog posts, online applications, basically anything that you are doing online it will spell check for you.

Let's not get into grammar. I've seen several forums degenerate into name calling and otherwise flame wars because a few seem to think that they were grading papers for a high school English class. I definitely don't want that to happen here too. There are reasons for bad grammar. I'm having problems seeing right now, some might not speak English very well some might not even have much education. Anyhow, that's my rant, or maybe more like advice. On the subject of my eye injury, thanks to everyone for their concern. Hopefully when I go back to the eye doctor today the infection will be on the way to being cleared up. As for the suggestion to save my eyes by staying offline for a while, I can see the monitor with my right eye, it's just the keyboard which looks ouy of focus, and that seems better this morning. To Bear, I do understand what you are saying about computer speak, I don't like it either. However we at XMARKS seem to have developed our own version, such as PK, UK or USAK. I think I might have even seen the term BK used a time or two. Maybe we should all have a little more respect for you guys who labor to keep us all kilted and happy.

Oh Yes, I think I found another reason for typos. I need a new keyboard.

The Webbie has this forum set up to pretty rapidly time out inactive users. For those that are not touch-typists (such as myself), the suggestion to use Word, or something similar, can have two advantages. You can type your post without the fear of trying to submit it after a time-out (can you tell it's happened to me? ) and you can spell-check the text before pasting it into the text editor on here.
How long is the timeout setting? It seems to me that I sometimes take forever putting together a post, trying to proof read it and then posting. So far I haven't had anything time out.

Honestly, the grammar and spelling on this board is so much better than on most boards on the internet. If you want to see bad, go to the boards for hints for just about any video game.

    15 minutes.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, Jerry. I somehow over-looked your question.

No problem, Mike, fifteen minutes is a long time. Some here, could write a short story in that length of time. At my worst, I might take 5 minutes to type up a post and try to proof read it. You'll also see on my posts, that I do a lot of editing. This is because I read the post after I submit it and see a problem. Then I use "edit" to correct it

15 minutes can be a long time, but I've usually got at least two browsers up and running (sometimes 3 or 4) and I will get side-tracked and get dropped as a result. People with ADD shouldn't have more than one browser available at any time. ;-)

LOL. My niece has ADD and is hyper too.I've personally seen her with SIX browsers up and running. I always smile when I think of her being online.Fortunately she's able to control it without any drugs.

It's funny, I flat-line when I try to do chat rooms or instant messaging with more than one person. Other than that, I can do fairly well.

My son is ADHD, too. He used meds for a few years, but we managed to wean him off them. I've never used meds at all. After this many years, I think I can pretty much deal with it on my own.
