Tell you what, you can pay me in 3 yards of the Highland Granite material. Whadddya think? **grin**

    I LOVE that tartan.

The Practice tartan off of ebay
    X Marks tartan
    Holyrood tartan
    California Tartan
    Gray Stewart Tartan
    Highland Granite Tartan

This is getting out of control! If I make them all, though, by the time I'm done I can probably call myself a kiltmaker, and I'll be up to ten kilts, which for me is total overkilt..

Alan, I have no doubt that you will do a great job on the boys kilts. I've seen pictures of the canvas kilt you made and it looks great. Still waiting to see the Xmarks kilt, but that's another story

Do us a favor and post the pics IF you get the email and decide to make them.

Ah well, you see Alan, your last post is the big tip-off that you haven't achieved true "Professional Kiltmaker" status.

The REAL professional doesn't have any kilts of his own. He is so busy making things of untold beauty and inestimate wealth for his loyal customers that to make one such for his lowely self would be like. .... Well, it's just not done.

I, myself, must be a true professional, for I still wrap my loins in two year old prototypes. I must wear the mistakes and rejects of my toils.

OH have pity on me world.. I of the bandaged fingers and ruined eyesight. I who would abandon the world of the regular paycheck. I, who toss and turn all night worrying over customer's satisfaction and poor X Marks reviews. I, who greeted the lady who entered my shop last week with a cheery "May I help you Madam." only to learn that I am married to her. I, who's bright blue eyes of youth have turned brown from caffine poisoning.

I cling to my proffesional kiltmaker status while all others go out into the world to enjoy the swish of pleats and revel in the admiration of beautiful women.

Soon grasshopper, you too will join us. You too will find the soothing hum of a well tuned sewing machine to be like opium to your mind.

Until then, do not pine over e-mails that may or may not come. Go kilted out unto the world. Enjoy what life there is left to you before joining us. We who are cursed.
