It took you 45 years? Try over 60. I have Scottish connections on both sides of my family. I'm 62 years old noq and I purchased my first kilt after attending my first Richmond Highland games in Oct 2003. Here I was wearing my usual jeans, and envying everyone wearing kilts when my wife says, out of the blue, "you should get a kilt for yourself". The rest is history.

It took me 45 years as well. I have roots in Scotland, whilst avoiding the draft in Holland, I planted 10,000 trees in Oban.
My parents are from the Hague.

I've a lot to learn and I'm absorbing the wealth of information on this forum.

I expect my first kilt...the Caledonia (mod) to arrive in 3 weeks, nr.2 will be the "Holland Tartan" kilt (6655)...can order it in February (out of stock right now) and because I'm hopeless...nr.3 will probably be the "Dutch MacKay" planned for my birthday in May :mrgreen:
