Much as I love my six leather kilts, I could never see myself wearing a leather PC, Argyll, Crail or any other formal or semi-formal Scottish jacket. Leather is NOT a formal material and I currently have no desire to go further than wearing either a black or a brown leather bomber jacket with my kilts - whether they be of leather, wool, cotton, canvas, pvc or poly-whatever! Having said that, something along the lines of a leather bomber, but somewhat less bulky, would be interesting - but only for casual wear.

A PC jacket or Argyll in leather would just look tacky.....

    But PVC might work!?

A leather PC? With a kilt on my harley maybe? I just don't think it would work. Now a toned down piper's doublet would be of interest to the RenFaire crowd, I'd bet.
Personally the idea of a tweed style jacket in leather or brushed denim doesn't strike me as bad at all. Strictly casual day wear but I could see it getting a lot of use.
Not being one that wears a glengarry I can't really post an opinion on that idea.

While there may be a few people interested, I don't think a leather PC would be a big seller. Now, as has been stated, something more casual made for wear with a kilt is a possibility.

I agree with Colin... trying to replicate a PC (or even Argyll for that matter) would be silly. Would you laugh if you saw a man in a suit with the kilt made of leather and the jacket made of leather? How about a tux made of leather? I would!

What I'd like to see would fall somewhere between a biker jacket and a suit jacket... a "nice dressy" leather jacket with some pockets... make the cut a LITTLE high to help show off the top of the kilt (like Charlies do).
