Livingston, Welcome!! Best source on the net for information about kilt wearing. As for kilts in the office, check out this thread. Also, get an official copy of your company's dress code, not just what you think it is. If the dress code allows skirts for women, which most do unless their is a safety reason, then it would be very difficult for them to legally stop you from wearing a kilt. Now, if you work in a smaller company, you might get more intimidation than you feel is worth taking, but in a company of any size, HR is going to be very leery of preventing you from wearing one, especially if you work it from the cultural heritage angle.
