My Kilted Week
I started this week (Sunday) doing some side computer work (gotta pay for kilts somehow) and realized I could order that Freedom Kilt I've been lusting after. I had planned on the cargo model, but when I recounted, I had enough for a casual (woohoo ). I got online and ordered a Casual in true olive, should be ready by the first week of January. Then, I checked my email and there was a note from Jeff and he said my Graphite PK is done and will be shipped, should see it Wednesday or Thursday (woohoo two ).
Went to Costco with my father-in-law, wearing my UK olive Original, to help him buy some cordless phones. On the way out I glanced to my left and saw a woman around my age looking at me with one of those priceless smiles. It was one of those conspiritorial grins that said she understood. I smiled back and walked on, chuckling to myself.
Tuesday at work, I was walking down a breezway between buildings, wearing my SWK Black Stewart and I got an interesting variation on the question - actually it was a comment. A student walked by and said "pretty cold to be going regimental." I told him, not really.
Wednesday, I got my PK and wore it to work Thursday. Wow. This is one nice garment. It's the "Beefy Bull" brushed denim. It fits like a glove, stays down in the wind and just plain looks great. There's something to be said for a hand-crafted garment. Very nice job, Jeff. The only problem is I want more. :-( (six to nine month jones)
Today is Friday, I'm wearing my black UK Mocker. I'm going to go home, take my sweetie to dinner where our daughter waits tables. Cheers, everyone! Nice way to end the week!
