    A Blessed Thanksgiving to everyone here.

    We're supposed to get a blizzard this evening, 10 - 18 inches of snow, so I'm thankful I'll be home warm and safe after church this evening. Hope you all are too.

    A very Happy Thanksgiving Day to everyone, every where. Wouldn't it be grand to have the whole world celibrate just one day giving thanks each year.

    Nelson, how wonderful to have your Grandmother for so long. They are never gone as long as we have memories. Take care my friend and think of her often.

    For those participating in the National Day of Mourning, I wish you a peaceful remembrance day surrounded by many of your family and friends.

    For those enjoying Thankgiving, I wish you a happy time surrounded by loved ones, and ask you keep all the peoples of America in your thoughts on this day of thanks.

    For those folks joining me after their big dinners on the kareoke floor in Newtown, I hope, really, really hope, no one picks "Alice's Restaurant", or we'll be there all night!

    A Thanksgiving wish...

    O THOU, in whom we live and move—
    Who made the sea and shore;
    Thy goodness constantly we prove,
    And grateful would adore;
    And, if it please Thee, Power above!
    Still grant us, with such store,
    The friend we trust, the fair we love—
    And we desire no more. Amen!

    Cheers,

    Todd

    It is a very special day for me.
    The first time I was away from home for Thanksgiving was when I was about 21 and I was living in Australia. It was also the first time I truely appreciated those big gatherings with every side of the family at my grandmothers home. Before that it was always good, but very sad as there had been so few with my grandfather around as he passed when I was young. We had been best pals from day one. I spent a lot of time mopeing instead of embracing the family I had around me.
    It is also a special day for my sister Lisa. She hosts a thanksgiving dinner in S Africa annually now. The dinner has grown into a very successful benefit for education as well.
    This year will be most depressing for Lisa and I as we morn the loss of her son Charles who was named after our grandfather. Charles was born premature and lost a very brave battle.
    Thanks for letting me share, it helps.
    Happy Thanksgiving and do count your blessings.
    David

    20 years ago on this day I lost my job. I survived and prospered for a time but once again, back in October I lost my job to outsourcing. Today I'm employed in a new job and I'm very thankful to be here. Two months ago I was in Mississippi in the aftermath of Katrina. I am thankful today to have a home to return to this evening. I have both my parents (both 75) and a sister, my wife, two fine sons, life, liberty and all the benefits that go with it. I have two kilts and I'm planning on another one at some point. I guess I really do have a lot to be thankful for. God bless all of you here at X Marks and have a safe and happy holiday!

    Don't forget to actually say "thank you" for those things, and to those people, you are grateful!

    God, the wife, parents, kids, the mailman, teachers, coaches, pastors and priests, the paperboy, cashiers, the guy running the local video store.

    Don't let the weekend go without "thank you" issuing from your lips.

    Thanksgiving means giving thanks.
