So we in the US should happily share Thanksgiving with all nations and let's hear it on Cinco de Mayo and Canada Day and Bastille Day and let's all get it together to have a kind word for those who celebrate Hannukah and Easter and (I'm sorry, I forget the name of it) that last day of Rahmadan when the fasting is over...
...let's all raise a glass to the Queen on her birthday and to the Emperor of Japan on his birthday...how bout we toast Nelson Mandela on his...this could (and should) go on forever.
I'm with Prester John. We should remember to give thanks today. Thanksgiving should be more that a one day exercise. I just came back from a walk along the Lt. Spokane. Everytime I go, I am reminded that we should be grateful for what we have and remember those who have not. Attitude is all. Be thankful.
We had Thanksgiving at my spouse's Great Aunt's place. Every year after dinner we write our names on a piece of paper and put down what we'd like for Christmas. Then we do the Secret Santa drawing.
So of course, this year I asked for warm wool kilt socks!
