I won't argue with the point that the production is highly polished - maybe too much so. I WILL say that any talk that faces mattered more than voices is silly. Their voices are AMAZING.

My wife got the Celtic Woman CD while shopping for her sister's wedding, so here's my opinion, with apologies if I offend.

I like alot of it. Some of the pieces are just happy, sappy PC stuff (reminds me of some pop 'Christian' praise and worship manure, but I digress), but the Gaelic stuff is very good.

Other tracks are excellent, well produced, and really well put together.

I'd say it's worth the purchase, just for the good tracks.

My whole family hates the bad ones. Just too much Windham Hill type stuff.

Their voices are good, and once in a while, very good.

Whoever selected the music for these girls needs to be a little more consistent, and avoid the malarkey. Just weeding those few out would make it a truly great album.

    Just my opinion, though.

My cousin's sister-in-law is a Celtic musician as well, named Ashley Davis. She's American but studied music in Ireland. She sang an original song called "Beannacht" (I think) for their wedding and also sang a very ethereal version of the Cranberries' "Dreams". She's very talented. Just figured I'd share her website since we're talking about Celtic Women singers:

    Hope you enjoy.
