While working in the shop during the early summer of 2004, we received a phone call from a "Dance Group" in California asking us to provide them with kilt samples. After we provided the samples and they decided to use us to make thier kilts (40 kilts in all), they told us who they were being made for... Madonna and her dancers for their 2004 "Re Invention Tour"!

After SEVERAL revisions, we finally hammered out a design that Madonna herself loved! The Re Invention kilts are a long, box pleated version of our Semi Traditional model. After discussions of tartan color, we decided to go with a "dress" tartan so that the white would stand out on stage. Madonna approved the Dress MacKenzie tartan and Kelly and I got to work building them!
