We still have green grass here. The sky is very grey (the norm for winter) but we just get rain. Very good for the grass but sometimes it gets cold enough for it to freeze. I still think back to last winter with 1"-2" of snow "pelets", not really flakes, kind of a mix of hail and snow, followed by a half inch of freezing rain (ice).
I just heard a song on the radio with the line "Christmas in the Northwest is a gift God wrapped in green...". It is from the christmas in the northwest album that is sold to raise money for northwest chrildren's hospitals.

The forecast for Monday here in Church Road Va is snow, accumulating 3 to 6 inches. I know that doesn't sound like much to those of you in the North, but it is quite a bit for this early in central Virginia. here won't be any toilet paper, eggs, bread or milk in the stores by Monday afternoon. Only thing I need for the expected "blizzard" is coffee, I'm about out.

Yeah, you would think they were planning to be snowed in for a month by the way they act! I've only ever been kept in a day around here, and that's only because I didn't feel like going outside.
