I think it does. I work nights at a welding shop, and when I got off work this morning actual temp was -12 degrees, and windchill was 24 degrees below zero!

Welcome Josh from another newbie,
I too have a wife who is hesitant about being seen with a man in a kilt. Just break her in slowly. I use little trips like the gas station, post office and visits from friends/neighbors. When your wife discovers that the reactions are not the horror she anticipates, she'll be more at ease. I think you'll enjoy it here.
