I believe in mix and match and experiment with looks....which is a fancy way to say, "What's clean today." ??:

If you live where there are few or no "kilt experts" then we have a lot more lattitude to play around with "looks."

Hey Derek! Looking good! My personal preference when wearing heavy boots is to roll or push the socks down in a more casual/working mode. If it's cold enough to want to wear the socks "up" then I try to have them match the boots as much as possible so I avoid the "half & half" look. But that's just my preference, you look fine in both pictures.
