I particularly like the damascus steel bladed ones...though I'll never be able to afford it. sigh.

The jewelry is very nice too, and somewhat more affordable than the blades.

    Thumbs up

    Hi,

I'm the maker of the Sgian Dubhs mentioned and I'd like to thank everyone for your kind comments on my work.

One of your members pointed me to this site which is pretty cool.
I've worn my own Kilt on many a walkabout around the world in my younger years, owning the same one since I was about 18. But alas too many beers and a wife who's a good cook have meant that I've now grown out of mine and will need to see if I can get it altered to fit.

    Regards,

    Rab

    Welcome, and again, great work!

As far as not fitting into your earlier kilt, it sounds like a good reason to buy a few more!

    Very nice work work Rab.

One of those damascas beauties would go nicely with my damascas butterfly knife.

I just put a Swiss M1918 bayonet on order for my K31 so for now I'll just have to put it on my wish list for a while

Welcome to the board, Rab. Yes, you do very nice work. And yes, you will have to get that kilt altered. :-D

    Smile

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
I'll need to dig out some photos of me in the kilt - I never did take to the formal attire so it was usually worn very casual with big army boots and a leather waistcoat.
If anyone here would like one of my Sgian Dubhs then mention this forum and I'll give you a small discount.
I think I'll be able to get a local kiltmaker to adjust my kilt - it's an old military Gordon Highlander kilt - fantastic quality and it's been on some adventures with me so I would'nt like to replace it.

    Regards,
    Rab
