I think the title of this thread is wrong. "how other fashionable males view about kilts".
To remind you... They ain't wearing kilts! ;)
Maybe we should print T-shirts saying "Retrosexuals wear kilts" and maybe the description to the backside if we don't want to leave people wondering...

Sometimes my wife thinks I desire to shock others by wearing the kilt to different places (I am still new to wearing a kilt), but I see it as an opportunity to show them I am comfortable with who I am, and I enjoy wearing the kilt!
Maybe I jest with her a little too much, she is not against my being kilted, but it will take some more time before it is "normal" to her.
The opinions by these "fasionable" males, are most likely Gen-Xers and later that have grown up with the Fashion Industry telling them what to wear.
Most of the Baby-Boomer generation did not have the advertising influence to the same degree, we were happy to have a TV, most people today have one in almost every room.
Again, most of their comments are based on their own ignorance, or desire to be "cool", and fit in to their peers. So far I have had VERY positive feedback from teens when wearing my kilt, so we need to bring influence where we can by showing that it IS "just another piece of clothing for men".

I think that we are dealing with people whose idea of "hard news" is Entertainment Tonight.
