Those are excellent deals, and if I were only 2 inches smaller I'd probably be all over one of them.

However, the one listed as Hunting Stewart doesn't appear to be the Hunting Stewart tartan. The actual tartan looks to be symmetrical, and doesn't have stripes between the reds and yellows, so much as the yellows and reds appear to be within other blocks.

    Still, they all look excellent!

Thank you so much for that comment. It made me feel really good about myself. I'm 38/40 and hearing a size so close to my own being called "little" is just a wonderful feeling. 8)

Of course, I'm rather short so I still look pleasantly plump. Although, ever since wearing the kilt people say I look thinner.

My credit card is still smoking from an Argyll jacket and the formal accessories, but I'm a 36. Damn, this isn't fair.

OK, I admit it. I bid on the Pride of Scotland.

I think I have spent more on clothes since August than I have the rest of my life combined. I suppose you can't take it with you though.........

Received this today after I inquired about the Irish National from SW:

Thank you for your interest in Irish national Tartan™ products from Stillwater Kilts. The wait is over!

The Irish National Tartan™ has proven to be very popular, many of you may not realize that
House of Edgar woolen mills is the registered owner of the Irish National Tartan™ name and design. The majority of Irish National Tartan™ kilts sold on eBay are counterfeit knockoffs that are not authorized by House of Edgar.

We are pleased to announce that Stillwater Kilts has entered into a licensing partnership with House of Edgar woolen mills in Scotland, and we are now the exclusive North American source of Irish National Tartan™ kilts and other items made from synthetic fabrics. We plan to expand our offering of products in this popular tartan over the coming year. Look for Irish National Tartan™ products on our website store over the next few days.

Any Irish National Tartan™ kilt sold in the US, made from synthetic fabric should be considered counterfeit, unless it says Stillwater Kilts on the tag. We have taken steps to ensure that counterfeit Irish National Tartan™ products will no longer be offered for sale in the US.

Our licensing agreement with House of Edgar does not affect any kiltmaker or retailer who obtains wool fabric or finished kilts directly from House of Edgar.

I got that email too, less than a week after receiving my Irish National kilt from an eBay seller in Scotland.

From what I'm understanding, the litigation is in the works from the House of Edgar right now. This coincides with the thread that we all posted-in about "knock-off" kilts and tartans.

    This ought to get good.

So tempting. I got $55 for my birthday and need another kilt. Even my size. However I don't really want another black (or just really dark) kilt, and I have never thought I look good in red. Now that I look again the hunting stewart and the gordon aren't too dark-- NO, must resist-- must save up for WPG kilt. GAH!
