    Poland... nah! close enough!

Ok, ParcelForce blew it nicely! ScottishKilts.net sent me my new kilt plus accessories at monday by Euro 48. Should have been here by today at least. We'll... PF delivered my parcel to Poland instead of Finland! Now it has been stored there for 2 days because of "insufficient address". I needed it today because tomorrow I leave to Southern-Finland until after christmas. ScottishKilts.net promised to deal with ParcelForce so it will be delivered to my friend in Southern-Finland. So I get it next friday when I go visit him. Damn... I already thought the jonesing was over! Thanks ParcelForce, you should take lessons for "Basics of Reading" :P Well, people do mistakes... I'm not flawles either but...

    Hey, that looks great!

Would you mind explaining the choice of colors, stripes, etc., i.e., their meaning?

Maybe you could take a Polish Christmas vacation?

Ok, the final version would probably have couple of more lines but we'll see.

The color green comes from the forests of our coutry which covers 66% of our coutry. The white and blue comes from the flag of finland which in itself symbols snow by the white and our thousand lakes by the blue (which is wrong because we have 187 888 lakes in Finland) Finnish have always been nature related nation. Forests made Finland for what it is today.

That sucks Ackwell. Hope they get it to you soon.

And I hope you don't mind me changing the subject for a minute, I found something interesting last night.

I was going through some of the things I was given when my last grandmother passed away this past summer & ran accross a set of shot glasses.
Upon seeing them I suddenly remebered the story behind them.
My great grandmother (fathers, fathers, mother) & her husband came here from Finland. They owned a saloon in one of the mining towns near Eureka, Utah. She was proud to call herself a saloon girl which always drove my prissy grandmother crazy & I can still rember how much I liked her very heavy accent. Most of the men on that side of the family also worked in the gold mines out there, including my grandfather.

Ok I'm rambling, now back to the point.
Some of our relitives from Finland came here on vacation, looked-up my grandparents and had sent a few days with them.
The shot glasses were a present they had brought with them.

Well anyway, I decided to break one in & drank a toast to my great grandmother. She was a very special woman and she's still missed.

Quite intresting. Thanks for the link.
Things like this mean a great deal to me, as they serve to remind me of my roots, and now I know even more about them.

    Thanks! 8)
