That's a great idea you came up with.

Getting excited over the pocket pic is silly & childish, and baiting the mods is unfair. I appreciate what they do to keep the forum from getting derailed.

    Nick,

Certainly do enjoy the innovative kilt creation that you two put together. Really awesome!

Do you collect pocket watches? You have piqued my curiosity.

But isn't silly and childish the definition of being male?

And we aren't baiting the mods, that would be actually posting something off-color, off-topic, or plain rude, we are just yanking their chains!

    Talking

With all thanks, most valiant Vincent!

When I first had the idea for a watch pocket, I thought of putting it in the side pocket, like with trousers. Jeff told me he had done something similar for another client, but it was a small knife pocket on the underapron. Having feild tested the watch pocket, I have to say the underapron is a much better place for it.

GMan, I sort of collect pocket watches, in that I keep them after they stop working. I have a couple old mechanicals, neither of which work anymore but could be fixed, several modern ones, and a few new nicer ones. Some need new batteries, one needs the second hand put back on (no idea how that happened!). My best one is a mechanical one I got instead of a high school class ring (it was a couple hundred cheaper!). I always keep my eye out, but antiques are expensive, whether they work or not!

Millar, the guy who fixes my watches when they go on the fritz told me the same thing! He's a watch repair guy, but he neither carries nor wears a watch anymore. But since I don't have a cell phone, I'll have to make do Actually, even if I had a cell, I think I'd still wear my pocket watch.

I have a cell phone, but carry a pocket watch anyway. I'm a student, and unlike most of my classmates, I can live without the phone between classes, so I leave it in the car during school.

Personally I like putting my pocket watches in my waistcoat/vest pocket and attaching the chain to the buttons of the waistcoat as it was done long ago.
