Kilt Night at McGirk's - Binghamton, NY area.
Here's the gang that showed up last night. A fine time was had. The dancers didn't make it, but there was live Irish music, Guinness on tap and good company. It doesn't get much better than that, I say.
Meself, Jeannie, Henry, Victor, Dewey, Brian (Woodsheal) and Padraig.
We'll train the photographer to shoot more kilt and less ceiling next time.

Looks like you guys are having way too much fun. Of course you are kilted and enjoying an ale or two, so who wouldn't be having a good time?

The photographer was a lovely young woman, named Gail, who is Padraig's sister-in-law. She WAS enjoying herself.

Seven different tartans at one place, that's GREAT!
Can't tell for sure, is Jeannie wearing a Gordon tartan? My Gordon ancestors came from upstate New York, Allegheny County area.

Yes, that's the dress Gordon. Mine's Irish National, Henry's is MacGilivray (though I thought it was Grant). I don't really know what the rest are, though Brian certainly told me what his was, once. I do know that it's a box-pleated kilt that he got from Matt Newsome.

What fun you seem to have had. Smiles, laughter, kilts and ale; does it get any better than that?

I'm still feeling the effects of all that ale* 24 hours later! I have to remember I'm not as young as I once was....
MY box-pleat is in Ulster Red tartan.
*Thanks, Bob! I owe you a pint (or two!)....
