My black braided sporran belt from R-Kilts arrived yesterday afternoon, I am very pleased with it. It is a high quality item and is well worth the price.

I recently did a search for a kilt belt and there is not much out there less than $30 US. After buying a black plain belt with a silver buckle on eBay for $35 at Carse of Gowrey, I saw a similar one from Stillwater kilts for $30. The only other option is to watch for a used belt auction on eBay.

You will have a lot of results if you search for sporran strap. Usually kilt belts and sporran straps get discussed together.

I have a brown and a black sporran strap from Robert at RKilts and they are great! He also has different shades of brown to chose from. Here are the 2 he made for me:

I got a decent "Sam Brown" duty belt (2¼") at the local uniform shop for under $30. Duty belts are made to hold equipment, so they're made extra stiff. They won't deform and dip down below the waist like many belts will.
I was hoping to find a "Ranger" duty belt (also 2¼") like this, and was willing to pay the $50+ for it, but they didn't have any, and I needed it that night.

Yes Robert can make a longer braided section and less strapping and yes Robert has the brass hardware and yes Robert can make a ranger belt.
The question is when Robert can do the above?

I love the look of the braided sporran straps Robert makes.
When it comes to leather, Robert is the man. The hardware is of very good quality and heavy enough to last. I've seen them, but I don't own one. I'm hoping to grab one this summer at one of the festivals.

Shot you an email to find out the answer to that and other questions 'cause if KCW likes ya, that's good enough for me.
Besides, you're, like, Canadian, eh? And in Ontario. And, like, I spent a lot of my growing-up time in Etobicoke, Erin Mills and Ottawa, eh? So, we're almost family, eh?
