I have a pair of black hose made by Locharron. They're identical to the cream and bottle green hose I have from them. This is a bad pic, but it shows the hose. I'll try to get some better pics over the holidays.
And yes, the jacket should have been unbuttoned.

I just bought two pair, one black and one grey, from Scotland Yard:

One item of note: The grey are a good match to Stillwater's Nightstalker tartan. I was having trouble finding "real" kilt hose in a shade of gray to match.

Someone asked for pics, so ...

Both the kilt and the hose came from USAKilts. I am happy with both (or all three, if you count the hose individually).
