Back Surgery
I will be going into the hospital tomorrow for surgery on the lower part of my spine. I not a major poster on the forum, but do read it everyday, and post when I can.
It may be awhile until I can start reading and posting. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy this forum and the wonderful group of members that contribute. It has had a major impact on my decision to confidently wear a kilt full-time. I am grateful for the knowledge I have gained and the interaction with people from all over the world that wear this remarkable garment.
Ham, if you read this post, I wanted to tell you that you have been an inspiration to me. I have looked at your entire photo album, read your posts, and have the upmost respect for you and your vast knowledge.
If I'm not able to post for awhile, I want to wish you all a joyous Christmas and Happy New Year.
Slainte,
Darrell

Darrell,
Best of luck to you tomorrow. Know that we will be thinking of you.
When my partner was in the hospital earlier this year his room (surprisingly) was equiped with internet access and he could lie in bed with a wireless keyboard and surf. Maybe you'll luck out too.
That way you won't have to come back and sort through 2000 new posts!
Good luck, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.

Hang in buddy, you can do this.
Hope you have tartan pajamas and a tartan blanket or two for the hospital

Having a positive frame of mind is one of the best thing you can have going for you. So, keep positive and look forward to coming back to this community. For that is what we are a community of brothers (and a couple of sisters). I have found much value in this group, way beyond just posting about kilts.
