Awesome info Shay. Thanks, I was wondering the exact same thing.

If you want to shrink kilt hose, let my spouse wash them. One of my nice wool kilt socks just came up in the laundry basket (I hadn't realized that he'd grabbed them from the pile of wool items) and they were small enough to fit a child. Ahh the joys of hot water and high heat clothes drying!

LOL!! I don't know though... the postage and wait time might not be worth it.

I found that once woolen kilthose shrink they aren't much good unless you have an infant that needs some socks. All this info on shrinkage though does beg the age old question; Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

I would advise being careful when you try to shrink wool kilt hose. I accidently put a pair of mine in the warm wash. The result was a donation of thick child's kit socks to charity.
I must say that I am partial to "Barbarian" rugby socks for casual wear. I have size 8 feet and these socks have enough elasticity to work for me.
