Despite the fact that they're to long, after all the comments I've heard about SWK I think I'm just going to have to break down and order one next year.

I'm lucky in that the 24 inch standard length hits me right at mid-knee. I'm 6'0". That's with me wearing it high on the waist. They are designed to be worn high on the waist. Trechnically I could have it hemmed up a inch and have it hit at the top of the knee, but I like the waist height, mid-knee fit it gives me as shipped.
Length seems to be a matter of personal choice. Mathew Newsome's article at the Scottish Tartans Museum debcribes "acceptable length to be anywhere from mid-knee to an inch or so above the knee." A casual kilt worn lower on the waist could be considerably shorter than a traditional kilt worn high on the waist, yet both kilts could actually hit you at the same place on the knee. That's my interpretation. Other's may see it differently.

Knee length
I wore my Bear Kilts BC tartan to Long Byotch last night, it wears a little high for me (it's 2 inches shorter than my others at 20"), I call it my sports model kilt. I'm looking forward to seeing the SWK line next year, wondering if the purple Scottish tartan was just a test or ...
